The Garvin County News Star takes pride in being your local news source. We are an independent, locally owned newspaper serving Garvin County, Oklahoma. Our coverage are includes the communities of Pauls Valley, Lindsay, Wynnewood, Stratford, Elmore City, Maysville and Paoli.
Our print paper is published each Friday and is printed by Lindsay Web Press in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
The Garvin County News Star is a legal newspaper in the State of Oklahoma, as prescribed by state law, and is eligible to publish all legal notices both in and outside of Garvin County.
HISTORY
The Garvin County News Star was established in 2009 when founding publisher Jeff Shultz purchased the Maysville News and the Stratford Star and combined them into one publication to serve the entire county.
The News Star has been owned by Garvin County residents Chris and Suzanne Mackey since 2020.
In March of 2023, the News Star moved our publishing office from Maysville to Pauls Valley.

All news items should be submitted by noon on Tuesday the week of publication. All photos e-mailed to our offices should be in jpeg format.
