Billy Ernest Mercer of Elmore City, was born  December 27, 1941 in Elmore City, Oklahoma  and passed from this life on April 1, 2012 at his home in Elmore City at the age of 70 years. Funeral services were held April 4, 2012 at the Church of Christ, Elmore City, Oklahoma. Interment followed in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
