The Stratford City Council approved a three percent cost of living raise to all city employees effective immediately during the council’s regular monthly meeting Tuesday, June 5.
It has been three years since city employees have seen any kind of pay raise due to a lack of funds.
Council members also approved the purchase of three used, but much needed patrol cars for the Stratford Police Department Tuesday night.
Council members also set a special meeting for Tuesday, June 12, at 6:00 p.m. to discuss some promotions, demotions, terminations and other employee issues as was listed on the council’s agenda Tuesday night.
